Join us on the farm as we collaborate with Flower Feather Farm and the Whatcom Conservation District in a hands on poultry processing workshop. We will be hosting the Whatcom CD's processing equipment, available to rent for anyone in Whatcom County, and we will take you from coop to cooler. Attendees will be mentored on animal handling, humane slaughter, scalding, plucking, evisceration, cooling and packaging, and the equipment cleaning process.  Be prepared for a full afternoon where as a group we will be processing multiple chickens and learning how to run the equipment. Please remember to bring snacks, water, and appropriate weather protection. Space is limited. RSVP required.
