Kaisha- head farmer, shepherdess, basket weaver, herbalist. Find her weaving willow baskets, tending finnsheep, and loving life at Hedgerow Willows

Hey, I am Kaisha, a first generation farmer and basket weaver. I came “back to the land” after my grandparents left their farm lives for city jobs/living. They shook their heads in befuddlement. I smiled and ran headlong to the forest, creeks, and fields.

From weaving long stemmed grass and cattails in the creek beds I explored as a child, to finding me milking the neighbor’s cow with small kids in tow as a young mother, no one is surprised to find me tending my own farm.

Willow captured my heart in its subtle and practical beauty. My flocks of sheep and ducks bring fertility and balance with practical management to the hedgerows and coppice lots while feeding my family and growing community.
