The cost of raising sheep has gone up considerably in the past few years due to rising feed, fuel and labor costs. We do all we can to run this farm efficiently without cutting corners here at Hedgerow Willows. We will not trade off the welfare of the sheep or the quality of their feed to keep costs down. We do what is the very best for them…first and always. That is our promise to you. No compromises. We are happy to share what we do here. Just ask us.

Fleeces start to be available in May after shearing, skirting, and photographing. The work continues until all are specially prepared for discerning handspinners. It takes time, often hours of prep per fleece as the ruthless wool skirters and preppers make sure what you get in the bag in the best of the best and there is as little vm as possible. We appreciate your patient. Shearing time is also the time of year we are lambing and obviously, the newborn lambs and their mothers are always our priority
